SVP Tucson Announces Next Step Toward Independence

SVP Tucson Transition Team April 1, 2026

SVP Tucson reached an important milestone in April 2026 as the organization continued moving toward its next chapter.

After months of transition work, the transfer agreement between the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona and Social Venture Partners International was executed, creating a clear path for SVP Tucson’s relaunch and future independence.

This milestone allows SVP Tucson, in partnership with SVPI, to begin the next phase of work required to become an independent 501(c)(3). It also sets the stage for several key priorities: launching the search for an Executive Director, engaging with the Tucson nonprofit community, and selecting initial nonprofit organizations for support.

For SVP Tucson, this transition represents more than an administrative step. It is a renewed commitment to bringing together people who want to do more than give, connecting partners with nonprofit leaders, and strengthening the organizations that strengthen Greater Tucson.

The transition team also shared that a partner social gathering would be rescheduled, creating an opportunity for the SVP Tucson community to come together and celebrate this meaningful next step.

SVP Tucson looks forward to continuing to engage partners, volunteers, nonprofit leaders, and community members as the organization moves from transition to action.
