Anne Miskey is a highly respected and accomplished leader who recently served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Union Station Homeless Services. With her extensive experience and expertise, Miskey is widely recognized as a national expert in developing innovative and effective strategies for major social issues. She has been recognized for her leadership during times of chaos and was nominated as the woman CEO of the Year by the Los Angeles Business Journal and for a Congressional Leadership award from Congresswoman Judy Chu. She has worked in both the corporate and nonprofit worlds. During her years in the nonprofit sector, she has worked both in the funder/foundation world and as a direct service provider.
Miskey is deeply committed to advocating for and working with the most vulnerable members of society, and she has a proven track record of creating long-term positive change and building strong support systems for those experiencing poverty, violence, racism, and homelessness. Prior to joining Union Station Homeless Services, she worked as the CEO of the Downtown Women’s Center in Skid Row and the first-ever Executive Director of Funders Together to End Homelessness. She started Funders Together with a staff of one and grew it to an international affinity group of hundreds of major foundations and United Ways.
Throughout her career, Miskey has worked as an advocate to influence and affect policies: federal, state and local, that affect vulnerable individuals, families and youth. She has worked closely with government agencies and elected officials of all political viewpoints and at all levels of government
Miskey is a sought-after speaker and community leader who fosters conversations about the systemic and policy issues that affect individuals, families and youth. She was invited to speak at the White House on multiple occasions on topics related to women and youth and played a key role in former First Lady Michelle Obama’s Joining Forces Campaign to support veterans. She was also critical in moving the Department of Housing and Urban Development into focusing on and funding youth homelessness.
Born in Tucson, to a long-time local family, Anne also spent many years in Canada. She has a Bachelor of Arts in history and theater from the University of Lethbridge, Alberta and a Master of Divinity degree from the University of Toronto.
Anne is married to Robert, a classical violinist, mother to Thomas and Eliana, and 1st servant to Micetro and Suki the cats.
